This archive includes a demo of the stereo version of Firium VST EQ Plug-In. The demo version is fully functional however, it does insert periodic bits of silence into your audio.
Installation
System Requirements

Installing Firium
Installing Firium is quick and painless.
1. Decompress your downloaded file using the appropriate utility. Double click on the
Firium.img file and a mounted disk will appear. Double click the mounted disk.
2. You need to copy the Firium application to your desired VST Plug-Ins folder. To avoid
confusion, we recommend deleting or removing the Firium demo from this folder.
3. Your download includes both the OS 9 and OS X versions of Firium. The OS 9
version, indicated by a ╘9╒ in the file name, can only be used in OS 9. OS X compatible
hosts can use the OS X version, indicated by the ╘X╒ in the file name. Hosts that have
been ╥Carbonized╙ and can run in both OS 9 and X need only have access to the OS X
version of Firium. Placing the OS X version of Firium in the VST-Plug-ins folder of such a
host will enable you to access Firium when using that host in OS X or OS 9.
4. User╒s Guides: To install the PDF User╒s Guide, drag it to the desired location on your
computer. To install the HTML User╒s Guide, drag the entire Firium Guide (html) folder
to your desired location.
5. Launch your VST compatible host application and use Firium (if this step is unclear to
you, please consult your hosts documentation for specifics).
Note: Some hosts must be specifically instructed to re-scan the plug-in directory before
the listing of available plug-ins is updated to reflect newly installed plugs. Consult your
hosts╒ documentation if Firium does not appear in the appropriate plug-in list.
6. You╒re done!
Known Issues
BIAS VBOX and PEAK/VBOX
* Issue: Various problems when switching between files of differing sample rates. Plug-ins are not immediately
notified when the sample rate changes. Manifestations of this issue:
- The spectral display is not adjusted to reflect the frequencies available in the new file.
- The EQ you create will not be applied at the correct frequencies.
Status: This issue has been reported to BIAS.
Work around: Before opening Firium's editor: Play the audio you will use with Firium. Stop the audio. Open
Firium's editor. In most cases this will cause the correct sample rate to be sent and the plug-in will operate as
expected.
* Issue: In OS X, the Firium editor is completely missing or is only partially drawn. This issue appears when Peak/VBOX is reactivated after being hidden and when the computer is awakened after being sleep.
Status: This issue has been reported to BIAS.
Work around: Making the Firium window the active window, by clicking on the title bar, should cause the editor to be drawn appropriately.
* Issue: Hosts graphics are not updated when adjusting parameters in Firium.
Status: This is a design feature of the host.
Workaround: None.
* Issue: Settings cannot be saved through the host.
Status: This issue has been reported to BIAS.
Workaround: Save settings using Firium's built-in SAVE and LOAD mechanism instead.

* Issue: The About Box is not displayed when the Firium name or the Elemental Audio Systems logo is clicked on.
Status: This is a design feature of the host.
Work around: None

* Issue: Hosts graphics are not updated when adjusting parameters in Firium.
Status: This is a design feature of the host.
Workaround: None.

TCWORKS SPARK
* Issue: Miscellaneous graphics glitches in Spark and/or Firium. This may include: controls drawn in the incorrect place, artifacts around window border after loading or saving settings file using Firium's LOAD/SAVE, etc.
Status: This will be fixed in an upcoming version of Spark. This issue is purely graphical and does not effect Spark's or Firium's core operation.
Workaround: In many cases, forcing the window to be redrawn will update the window and remove these artifacts. In OS 9: Collapse the window or put the Firium window behind another window. In OS X: Close the plug-in window and re-open it.

* Issue: Hosts graphics are not updated when adjusting parameters in Firium.
Status: This is a side effect of a work-around implemented to overcome a problem that would cause graphics glitches in Firium in certain circumstances.

* Issue: Settings cannot be saved through Pluggo.
Status: This is a design feature of Pluggo.
Work around: Use Firium's built-in Save and Load mechanism instead.
* Issue: Some modifier keys do not function as expected.
Status: These keys are intercepted and used by Digital Performer.
